The Purple Guide to Event Safety
Those of you that know me will know that this firstly caught my eye because its purple and I love, love, love all things purple and secondly because I arrange events within my role as GirlGuding UK Guide Leader – so nothing to do with work really!! (Typical.)
This service does cost £25 to download but you may feel this is still cheaper than employing an expect to complete the necessary documents; this service does set out what steps are required to keep guests safe and to tick legal boxes and it does have the support of the HSE.
Obviously as with any Guidance following it to the letter isn’t mandatory but it will give you some peace of mind and give you simple steps to follow.
If you are arranging a large event for the first time and are becoming worried about legal compliance (ratios of people to fire doors etc.) this is a worthwhile use of £25!!
